Rise Uniforms is a Cape Town based company located in the Philippi area. The company is managed and owned by Ntombekaya (Ntombie) Nonxuba, has operating since 2007 and was formally registered in 2010 trading as Rise Uniforms. The business is 100% black female owned with a BBEEE Level 1 and currently employs 46 people from the township.

Rise Uniforms is a manufacturer and supplier of superior quality uniforms, corporate wear and complementary garments nationally. All products are manufactured locally as per the client's specifications. The company has a well established record of consistently supplying and delivering uniforms to well known brands such as Pick n Pay.
Social Impact:
The owner has a strong desire to see transformation in the Philippi area and has deliberately chosen this location to set up shop. Rise Uniforms currently offers a significant number of employment and business opportunities in an area that has a staggering 38% unemployment rate. The owner also offers training opportunities to groups of women (co ops). Revenue has increased steadily year on year.

Technical Capability
Rise Uniforms has the necessary technical expertise, capacity and know how to deliver on immediate increase in volumes from he market. The company has improved their production processes over the years by recently investing in state of the art production machinery. Recently acquired machinery (assets) includes embroidery machines, a screen printing machine, an eyelet buttonhole machine and other complimenting machinery.
The company has the necessary capability and capacity to accommodate additional sizeable orders and can comfortably increase production.
Enterprise and Supplier Development
Rise Uniforms has successfully been selected as a beneficiary of the Sanlam Enterprise and Supplier Development Programme. The programme has been designed to assist companies like Rise Uniforms to embark on the next growth phase. A professional business mentor has been assigned to assist the business.
Location
In 2017 Rise Uniforms increased its production plant from m2 m2 154 to 504 in order to supply Boxer Superstores.
