The Tourism & Business Institute of Southern Africa (TTBISA), hires out its lecture rooms and halls to various corporate and governmental bodies for conferences, seminars and meetings.

  • The Institute has 6 well equipped lecture rooms and breakaway rooms which can accommodate between 15 and 50 delegates. There is also a very large banqueting hall which, depending on the configuration, can host more than 650 people seated.
  • The Institute has a large, fully functional kitchen.
  • The Institute offers various catering requirements, such as tea and coffee breaks and a cocktail menu. The training facilities are fully equipped with digital projectors, magnetic whiteboards, conference tables and chairs, and lecterns.
  • The Institute also has a fully equipped executive boardroom for smaller meetings.
  • The main hall can be decorated in any theme that suits the event.
  • There is ample secure parking and spacious, tranquil grounds in which one can relax during breaks. Outdoor functions can also be set up during the warmer months of the year with spectacular views of Devil’s Peak as a backdrop.
The Institute’s new premises offer an ideal conferencing and seminar location in the lower Mowbray area. Here you will be able to conduct your conferences and seminars in a quiet, scenic area, with top class conferencing facilities and easy access from all of Cape Town’s major arterial routes such as the N2, M5, M3 and Liesbeek Parkway.

The Institute’s management prides itself on great attention to detail, based on many years of experience in the hospitality industry and will ensure a memorable event.

There are 6 lecture halls that seat between 15 – 50 delegates.
The main hall seats up to 650 delegates and includes a large stage.
The executive boardroom, which seats 10 people can also be hired. Cost on application.

The cost of hiring one of the lecture halls is R195 pp per day (VAT incl.). This includes 3 refreshments breaks* and 1 warm lunch daily.

The cost of hiring the main hall on a weekend is R10, 000 and on a week night is R6, 000.
